Ross will appear as Seymour Krelborn in the Pacific Coast Repertory Theatre’s production of Little Shop of Horrors, the comedy horror, rock musical, composed by Alan Menken and written by Howard Ashman, that satirizes science fiction, ‘B’ movies and musical comedy itself with music in the style of early 1960s rock and roll, doo-wop and early Motown.
Ross recently appeared as Tommy Gnosis in Boxcar Theatre’s production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch (February-April, 2013). Hedwig, the front singer and would-be glam-rock star from East Germany, undergoes a botched gender-change operation in order to escape from the Soviet bloc, only to watch the Berlin Wall come down on TV after being abandoned in a trailer park in middle America. Hedwig gets involved with Tommy, an adolescent boy who steals her songs and becomes a stadium-filling musical act. Suffering from a broken heart and a lust for revenge, she follows Tommy’s tour, playing with her band (the Angry Inch) at tacky theme restaurants.
Ross starred in Fact Not Fiction Films’ feature-length documentary entitled Shady Lady as B-24 Bomber Pilot, Lt. Doug Craig. Shady Lady is the epic story of the B-24 Liberator aircraft called ‘Shady Lady’ that set off from Darwin on Friday, 13 August 1943 on what was at that time the world’s longest ever bombing mission of WWII to the oil refineries at Balikpapan, Borneo. Shortly before running out of fuel, ‘Shady Lady’ was crash landed on a remote salt pan in Northern Western Australia after flying for 16 hours and 35 minutes. With help from the Aboriginal Community, ‘Shady Lady’ amazingly flew again. A ‘Presidential Citation’ for the crew, was re-issued in June 2011 to acknowledge their outstanding bravery and courage.
“And special mention goes to Ross Neuenfeldt (as Ethan Girard), a recently minted [BFA] from Boston University, who is making his San Francisco debut. This charming and skilled performer will be working a lot in this town. Welcome, Ross!”
